Barro Negro Mini Heart Espresso Cups (pair) – Valles Centrales, Oaxaca

Perfect for espresso, cortado, or as a small vessel for sugar or a posy, these mini cups come as a pair.

Made by the Familia Pérez in Oaxaca, using the region's iconic Barro Negro (black clay), sourced from a mine in their own community. The workshop is now in its third generation, with pieces shaped by different family members — Andrea, Lisset, Eva and Armando — and each cup can take up to 7 days to create, across around twelve stages of carving and hand-burnishing with quartz. The distinctive sheen and character of this pottery reflect the family's own tradition and skill.

Please note that as each piece is handmade, slight variations may occur, making every item beautifully unique.

  • Our Barro Negro is Lead free

  • Natural Pigments (The residue of the natural pigment may be noticeable when you touch it, these pigments or residues are not harmful)

  • Hand Wash (wash it before use)
    Barro Negro is baked at low temperatures, making it not suitable for microwave or dishwasher use. Please hand wash and let it fully dry before the next use.
